When you skate in the Midwest and winter rolls in, the spot list begins to thin out. With most of the usual suspects buried beneath inches of snow or melted slush, you're either twiddling your thumbs waiting for those rare sunny days to dry things out, or you're chasing the white rabbit down the proverbial hole.
