​Gabrielle Serrano, a Queens NYC native was the winner of Nike's 'On Air' competition from 2018.  She chose the Air Max 98 as her canvas and named it 'La Mezcla', the Spanish word for 'mixture'.  Her design is about the people who make NYC what it is, through colors and materials that represent different skin complexions, the Statue of Liberty and the concrete texture on the mudguard.
